At a special ceremony held on March 1 at the United States Postal Service facility on Route 130 in Hamilton, Terrance Lyman and Wynn Mallard, Jr. were honored by their colleagues and assorted dignitaries for their heroic actions in saving the life of Russell Childress five months ago.

James Parla, the superintendent of the Hamilton school district, recently announced at a meeting that the operations budget for the district for the school year 2013-2014 will be increased by $2m to cover a variety of mainly technological upgrades.

Hamilton folk can find their voice this weekend with the Sing-Along Concert by Tom Glover, featuring songs of inspiration, faith, and love by such artists as Perry Como, Joni James, and Rosemary Clooney. This is a simple program that revisits the musical eras from the 1930s through the 1970s.

Tom Glover, a local historian, will be providing a special presentation on the history district located in Hamilton Township this Saturday, September 23.
